Gosfield Hall Wedding Venue

Gosfield Hall wedding venue is easily one of the best wedding venues in Essex for couples who are looking for an elegant and grandeur wedding venue to celebrate their wedding day.

Gosfield Hall is a Georgian Mansion, built-in 1545 by Sir John Wentworth and in the mid to late 16th Century was a royal residence. In its current guise, Gosfield Hall is a wonderful wedding venue, nestled in the beautiful and rural Essex countryside and boasts some wonderful features that are rarely bettered anywhere else.

There is no shortage of glorious locations around Gosfield Hall to say I do and there are up to three places to have your wedding ceremony in style. Below are the places where you can officially tie the knot.

The Grand Salon. A beautiful and elegant room with period features which as its name suggests is very grand. (pictured above). This particular room is my favourite with its wonderful white decor and high painted ceiling, coupled with double sash windows allows for beautiful light to flood the room and is ideal for me as a wedding photographer.

The Queen’s gallery with a huge 120ft long aisle ensures that the bride gets all the attention. With oak panelling throughout the gallery, it really is a beautiful ceremony room.

On a more mild and warm wedding day, you can opt to have your wedding ceremony outside with the original carriageway being the ideal place for this and you chose to be inside the carriageway, where the courtyard will make a wonderful backdrop or you can have the outside carriageway, though on a really hot day the sun beats down and can be quite hot for your wedding guests – the bride and groom are typically under shade though.

The Ballroom is the chosen place for your wedding breakfast and in my opinion, is the best room to entertain a wedding for fine dining and speeches. The minute you walk into this room, you really do feel like you could be dining with royalty. For dining, the Ballroom can accommodate up to 116 seated guests easily and your guests will fall in love with it’s highly decorated ceiling, the wood paneling, and its jaw-dropping crystal chandeliers. Situated at either end of the Ballroom are full feature length mirrors that give the room a bigger perception, not that the ballroom needs mirrors to make it appear larger though.

The ensuite in the roccoc room at gosfield hall

If there is one room that every bride talks about at Gosfield hall, then it has to be the Rococco room! This is by far and away the best bridal suite I have ever had the pleasure of working in & trust me when I say I have come across loads of bridal suites and nothing beats this room. The minute you walk into the room you are greeted to pure elegance. It is a statement room and not only does the bridal party get to enjoy the splendor that this room is but also the happily married couple get to spend their first night together as a married couple in the charm and beauty that the Rococco suite offers.

The en suite is another example of just how grandiose the suite is. A timeless room with modern amenities such as a huge whirlpool bath. You will know that you have got wed in style when you wake up in the beautiful four-poster bed. Honestly, you have to see the room to believe it – simply stunning!

The outside of Gosfield Hall offers even more opportunities to enjoy your wedding day to the maximum and loads of photography opportunities to ensure your memories extend even further from your beautiful wedding day. Make no mistake, getting married at Gosfield Hall offers so many wonderful moments to enjoy your day the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
