Friern manor wedding photography – Sonia & Mike

3rd October 2017

OMG! Where do I start with this wedding at the Friern Manor wedding venue? I could start by saying how much I love working at the Friern Manor wedding venue, the lovely little discreet places where you can always get beautiful and intimate photographs of the wedding couple, and the always helpful & punctual Sarah (who always ensures a smooth day), & the master of ceremonies, Kieran. A really friendly and personable guy who makes my life as a wedding photographer a little easier.

As nice as the friern manor wedding venue is (and it really is), I’m going to talk about the two people who really made the day possible. Sonia and Mike. I first met these two fantastic people in late 2016, and I could tell instantly that they were a great fit for each other. Mike loves a laugh (and pictures from his stag do confirmed my suspicions, hey Jimmy!), Whereas Sonia is full of elegance, and the more emotive of the two of them. I had the first chance to get a glimpse of them together, when we had their pre wedding shoot in the early part of August. Most people tell me they feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, but both Sonia and Mike worked really well together (see the images at the first part of the storyboards below).

The Ceremony was perfect, brisk but beautiful. The light was great with the sun just peaking every now and then, but diffused from the soft clouds to help create some beautiful images with natural light. We had a few formal images and spent the rest of the day capturing moments. Special thanks must go to Sonia and Mikes children, Lucy, Ryan & Little Kai.

Now starts the journey in images. Starting from pre-wedding storyboards, all the way up to the first dance. Enjoy and if you like what you see, drop me a comment below .

I hope you enjoy the friern manor wedding photography blog post about Sonia & Mikes wedding day!
