Barn Brasserie wedding venue

Barn Brasserie wedding venue

The Barn Brasserie provided the perfect backdrop for Lorraine and Andy’s wedding day. The day had a rustic feel to it & Bridal prep started the tone of the day. Set in beautiful grounds of a former working farm, it was full of charm & character. The place these two call home seems a perfect fit for them. For Andy there really is no place like home, as it has been his since he was a young boy.

Both Lorraine and Andy are wonderful people, and I really loved their personalities. What I really loved about Lorraine & Andy was their desire to embrace the moment and just go for it. They were full of youthful exuberance!

Through meeting close friends, to getting a chance to work closely with their intimate family members, this was one wedding that will live long on my memory.

We had a plethora of emotions on this day, some sad and teary & some happy and teary. I got a chance to get a privileged insight into the very core of both of them, and when that happens it is like they have trusted you to be part of their time, and their day.

I yearn and crave these creative moments in life. Having that opportunity to leave your mark on someone else’s life in a positive way is something money cannot buy.

I would like to say a huge thanks to a few people, who helped make this the day extra special.

The Barn Brasserie pulled out all the stops to ensure that everything went as smooth as it could possibly be. It is a lovely venue that offers a discreet service and customer service as it’s forte. Set in beautiful surroundings, it really is somewhere where you feel very welcome. A perfect place for bride and grooms to get hitched.

The make up artist - Fee Alice. I come across many of these fine ladies when photographing weddings, and they are always approachable. Fee is no different, and to boot she is so good it seems quite effortless for her. I always try to help promote other good professionals, and I have no hesitancy in promoting Fee.

Below are a few storyboards of Lorraine & Andy’s wedding at the Barn Brasserie. Enjoy x

I would like to offer my congratulations to both Lorraine & Andy on their marriage, and wish them every success in the years to come together!

London wedding photographer – Michaêla & Titus

Being a London lad, born and bred, it was a pleasure to abandon being an Essex wedding photographer for a day and become a London wedding photographer. North London was the setting for this wonderful wedding of Michaêla & Titus. We included a visit to the iconic Alexandra palace for some images (though getting the weather to play ball was hard - It’s about time us humans found a way of controlling the weather with an iphone app..Haha.)

In all fairness to the Bride and Groom they rocked it, irrespective to the weather, and in typical UK style as the rain settled, then the sun came out. That gave us a limited time to get some shots, but I think we just about won this one.

Bridal prep started at Joy’s house and I earned the moniker of “Purple Tel” (A reference to the fact I was wearing a purple shirt on the day). A name that seems to have stuck with me now :).

Below are the images from this wonderful wedding, a wedding full of soulful and gospel overtones. A wedding full of all the typical emotional characteristics that I have come to expect and yearn for.

A massive thanks goes out to my faithful 2nd photographer, Darren at Sureshotz photography for once again being on hand to undertake the second side of the photography. Thankyou!

These were a few images from the bridal prep. A mix of organised chaos and moments of serenity…

A few from the groom prep, taken by Sureshotz photography.

The ceremony was a busy affair, and one that deserves a bit more attention, after all it is the most important part of the day for both the bride and the groom. The moment when they say I do are words that bind us together.

A few select images from our time at Alexandra Palace. I so wish we had more time at this iconic venue. I so wanted to use more of the exterior features of the palace, but it was all sectioned off to the public that day. 🙁

That concludes this London wedding. A shame it went as fast as it came. I really enjoyed this day. A couple who I felt were so deserving of one and other, and perhaps their biggest symbols of love and commitment lay not in the rings that they adorned, but in the two beautiful daughters they have brought into this world together. Family and friends gathered to celebrate a truly romantic moment between two people, and being given the opportunity to record these moments of love was an epic experience - Thankyou both for providing me with those moments!

Essex wedding photography – Debbie & Ray wedding

Essex wedding photography – Debbie & Ray wedding

This was one of those weddings where luck was clearly on our side, in terms of the weather that is. During bridal preparations there was an almighty thunder storm, and the worst was feared as the time approached to the ceremony, but fortunately the gods cheered up and blessed us with beautiful weather for the rest of the day.

With Essex wedding photography, much like wedding photography  anywhere in the UK, the weather can and most often does play a part (normally of the wet kind!).

Debbie and Ray are a fantastic couple, who so deserved a wedding that delivered it all. Surrounded by family and friends who were so willing to play their part, and when it came to the photography, boy did they play their part. This wedding had it all, and kept me firing off shots all day and almost all night long, and that was thanks to the  very special people who made this day what it was……Fantastic!

Sit back and enjoy some of the storyboards that were created from this wonderful day in Essex.
